The IIMs are institutes of excellence established
with the objective of imparting high quality management
education and training, conducting research and providing
consultancy service to various sectors of the Indian Economy.
A Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted for admission
to all IIMs. The well equipped Campuses provide residential
facilities (internet connections in all rooms) for students and faculty members. |

IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA) |
Established in 1961 IIMA has evolved from a premier
management institute to a notable international school of
management. The Institute offers MBA level programmes, doctoral programmes, faculty development programme and executive education programmes. Research is at the core of IIMA. Focus areas of research include social marketing, productivity, women issues, human resource development, public sector management etc. The present campus is spread over 0.27 square kilometer and is further
extended by 0.16 sq km. |

IIM Bangalore (IIMB) |
Established in 1973, IIMB offers two year Post Graduate Programmes in Management (PGM), Software Enterprise Management (PGSEM) and Public Policy and Management (PGPPM). Besides a doctoral level Fellow Programme, the Institute also offers Executive Education Programmes.
IIMB has partnered with a couple of foreign Business Schools
like Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Wharton School, the Tech School at Dartmouth and University of Buckingham
and has exchange programmes with London Business School, University of Washington, Melbourne Business School etc. |

IIM Calcutta (IIMC) |
IIMC was established as the first national institute for Post
Graduate studies and Research in Management in 1961 by the
Government of India in collaboration with the Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and the Indian industry.The Institute offers
four major teaching programmes: A Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGDM), a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Aided Management (PGDCM), a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) and a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). |
